Namaste! I’m delighted to share a glimpse into my journey with you.

Since the age of 10, I have been devoted to the practice and teachings of Yoga. During my youth, I had the incredible opportunity to spend over 15 transformative years at the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Under his guidance, I was immersed in the profound philosophy of Yoga and trained in traditional yogic methods by masters from esteemed lineages across India, Nepal, and Tibet.

Alongside this spiritual journey, I pursued my academic path and earned a PhD in Banking and Finance. My quest for deeper understanding also led me to study ancient Sanskrit scriptures and explore diverse yogic traditions across India. In 1997, I was awarded an M.D. in Alternative Medicine from the Open International University of Sri Lanka. I am also an ordained Ecumenical Minister through the Ecumenical Ministry for Unity of Religions in Ojai, California, which has enabled me to share the philosophy of Oneness through talks and programs across the United States and Canada.

I am deeply grateful for the invaluable contribution of my wife, Maya, who has been a pillar in the growth and evolution of KYG. She brings a wealth of knowledge in holistic nutrition and conscious cooking, offering recipes that nourish the body, mind, and spirit. Despite her full-time commitments, Maya plays an integral role in recording, producing, and supporting our programs. Her dedication and quiet strength continue to shape the heart of KYG.

In 2018, Maya and I founded KYG USA Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to share the timeless teachings of Yoga and Vedanta. Our offerings were made freely available to all, sustained by the goodwill and voluntary contributions of the community.

In 2025, we moved to Kanchipuram, India, where we have currently established a small home-cum-gurukulam, under the auspices of the KYG Foundation. While we will continue to travel and share these teachings across the world, Kanchipuram now serves as our spiritual home and base—a space dedicated to living, practicing, and sharing a path of service, simplicity, and love.

Through KYG, our vision is to create a holistic way of living—one that nurtures a strong body, a fearless mind, and the realization of one undivided Spirit. Through workshops, retreats, and online initiatives, we aim to make these transformative teachings accessible to all, beyond barriers of geography, background, or belief.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.

With warm regards,

SUNDER IYER
